🥕The Top 3 Businesses To Start In 2025 As A Newbie.

🥕Ever wanted to start your own business but not sure what to choose?

Happy Saturday my ol Wise Carrot.

Isn’t it crazy how fast the weeks go by?

I remember as a kid that summer holidays felt like a whole year, it was epic!

But it just goes to show that we ain’t got time to mess around.

We have a life to build not just for ourselves but for those around us that we love and care for most.

Which brings me on to today’s read which is all about…

The top 3 businesses to start in 2025.

🥕The Top 3 Businesses To Start In 2025 As A Newbie.

So over the last few days, I wanted to go out and do some journalism shall we say…

Meaning that I wanted to dig around the internet and put together a credible source of the best businesses to start as a total newbie.

I found this video by Dan Martell (I’ll leave a link to this down below if you want to check it out) and he put together a list of the best businesses to start and I wanted to share them with you.

Here they are:

Product Business

These companies typically have upwards of 50%-60% gross margins as you can source your products for very cheap and sell them on for a great profit.

Example: You buy a T-Shirt for £3 but sell it on for £25, you’ve made a £22 gross profit.

However there are some things which will trip you up in this industry so here are 3 ways to ensure you don’t slip up.

1. Pre Sell The Product

You have to be able to pre-sell the product which means that you don’t want to go and buy a whole inventory of stock and realise that nobody asked for it in the first place.

The worst thing you can do in business in this industry is build something that nobody wants nor asked for because you’ve not just wasted your money but also time, resources, energy and headspace and those things are not something you want to waste.

2. Go Directly To Consumer

You have to be able to go directly to consumer and that’s because you have to skip the retail.

Look at it like this….

You spend a ton of time, resources and energy to find or either build your own product just so that every part of the sales process, you get money taken from you.

Your product
Wholesaler
Retailer
Consumer

Go straight to the consumer, your business will thank you.

3. Invest Into Your Brand

You have to be investing in your brand at all times which means you have to care about your review, product, word of mouth marketing, social media presence and be sure to get yourself in the press.

These things are going to create the flywheel to make the business work and without it… you’re doomed.

Agency

This second business is an agency or service based business and this is actually one of the easiest businesses to start because effectively, all you do is learn a skill and either use that skill and do work for someone or simply use that skill and teach others how to acquire that same skill.

Pretty simple right?

And heck… if you didn’t want to do any of the work, you can also hire someone to do it for you but bare in mind that this hire needs to be an A player, great at what they do and at the same time, not cut too much into your profits.

This may be something to consider down the line when you’re established but for now, I’d suggest running solo for a little while.

Now to make an Agency work, you need to focus on these 4 things:

1. You must solve a strong pain

When you start your agency, you have to be able to identify what strong pains you can solve with your solution and also who it belongs to.

You wouldn’t go out into the marketplace and shout “I help everyone do Facebook ads” because nobodys going to resonate nor care, but if you go into the marketplace and shout…

“I help fitness coaches scale their paid ad efforts and increase lead conversion by 65% using my flywheel method”

Then you’re speaking to someone specific who’s looking for a specific solution which you can provide in a way that makes you stand out from the rest.

2. Productise Services

Now that you’ve worked with a handful of clients and gained valuable feedback from them, you can begin to identify where your improvements could be and from there iron them out.

Once ironed out, you can then start to design and position digital products which you can sell on autopilot via ads, influencer shoutouts, content, newsletter and much more basically giving you a source of passive and recurring income whilst you work on the higher leverage operations.

3. Focus on Recurring Revenue

Too often when we start business, we just want to get paid to do the “thing” and the “thing” is, is that when we sell the “thing” we then have to sell the “thing” over and over again and basically start from zero each month unless you know how to multiply your money which is another skill within itself.

The best way to do this inside of a new business is to invest into paid ads as you can get tens of thousands if not millions of eyeballs on your content for less than a Starbucks coffee per day.

4. Scale with Systems

The whole philosophy is by building a business that you don’t begin to hate and the way you do this is by building yourself out a checklist of things which you need to be doing each day and get to a competent level to where you can outsource some of the work to those who love doing the jobs you hate.

Coaching

Coaching is the first proper business I started with as I simply used the knowledge in my head to help others grow their business. Over time I applied this knowledge to my own business and saw some incredible results.

I helped online fitness coaches reach their first 10k months inside 90 days without spending a dime on paid ads or integrating fancy funnels. I did this for years and managed to serve over 140+ clients all over the world.

Coaching is probably the best business to start here aswell as the Agency because the entry price is super low in terms of money and knowledge. You don’t need to know everything to get started and you certainly don’t need to have a ton of money to get the ball rolling.

These are the things you MUST do if you want your coaching business to work otherwise you’re going to HATE what you do:

1. Sell Your Expertise

Now this one may seem completely obvious but the amount of people out there who are in ridiculous shape, have a lot of money, great networkers, great at playing a musical instrument etc and they don’t want to charge money for what’s taken them years to accomplish which somebody else wants!

Isn’t that being slightly selfish that people want your help to create the same results in their own life which you’ve created for yours AND you get to make a good living from it? Why the hell not?

Get comfortable with charging what you’re worth.

The more you charge, the better quality clients you get.

2.  Marketing Strategy

Give all of your best stuff away and that means all of the information you know, all the education you can give, give it away for free.

Why?

Because you get paid by giving the support to implement that information NOT the information you hold.

Information is completely useless unless action is taken and even when action is taken, the person who received that information wants and needs to know they are absolutely doing the right thing for them and their business in that exact moment whilst having complete certainty and clarity in which direction their going in.

Teach everything you know around the topic for free and solve peoples problems without expecting anything in return.

3. Build A Community

Building a community can be a great way to bring all of the work you’ve done together.

A community is absolutely essential in your coaching programme as it allows other clients to connect with one another and gain value from not just you but also from the rest of the group.

Arrange meet ups, live zoom sessions together, implement a group chat, a Facebook group, do as much as you can to get your clients closer together as this is a fantastic way to ensure that they stick around for longer and get the most from your coaching.

And there you have it…
