Stealing 44B Dollars…

And getting an execution sentence for it. What a crazy story.

For years in Vietnam, Truong My Lan was a prominent real estate figure - with her face everywhere.

Behind the scenes she was executing one of the biggest bank frauds ever seen.

She is convicted of taking 44 billion dollars worth of loans from Saigon Commercial Bank. On surface that doesn’t look like a crime.

Per laws in Vietnam, no person could ever own 5% of a bank. But through hundreds of shell companies and people, Truong owned 90% of the bank.

In other words, she could do as she wishes with all the money the bank is generating, which breaks the law.

She also went as far as bribing financial officers at the bank to keep quiet and approve loans faster, paying them up to $5,000,000 for the hush-hush.

The loans would go straight to her to do whatever she wants.

4 billion dollars in cash alone was stashed at her home’s basement.

Spotify is really dominating this conversation. Their catchy names for playlists really resonate with moods and are very clickable.

“90s Rave Rainforest”, “Writer Nature”, “Social Media Pop” are all awesome names for playlists.

They have a whole team dedicated to analyzing listener patterns and putting that together.

They even change up what’s available on the app’s home page with what time of the day it is.

In the morning you may see “Chill” and “Nostalgia”.

In the afternoon, “Main Character” and “Laid Back”

In the evening, “Missing You” and “Lit”.

No wonder Spotify is growing so fast. That’s just plain fun.

150 Followers to 7,500 Overnight…

This is so awesome and I watched it happen in real time.

I followed Kimia on X at the end of March when she had just over 100 followers, because she posts awesome, thoughtful content.

You can see she does her research and goes deep on topics. That’s what it takes! You can’t just wing-it and expect people to notice you.

Well she finally caught her break. On April 2nd, she posted a deep-dive on Dr. Joe Dispenza. Because of the controversial nature of this topic, the comments and attention flowed in right away.

In just 24 hours she had over 3 million impressions and 7,500 new followers.

That right there is the power of X and why I’m fully investing my time building an audience there (by the way, follow me there @dailywisecarrot).

Way to go Kimia! This is only the beginning.
