🥕 Does Social Media Hate YOU??… 🫣

There is a lot of talk about how social media is bad for you and how much some people really hate it.

But does social media hate you?

If you are trying to grow an audience online, it may seem that way.

You are posting awesome content, engaging as much as you can, staying consistent… And crickets…

As frustrating as that is, let me paint some perspective.

Whatever the platform you’re using, you are competing against 1000s and millions of people who have the same exact goal.

You are all literally posting similar stuff, trying to be in the front of the same pare of eye balls.

In the case of the platform, whether it’s X, Facebook, TikTok and others, they can only show so many posts.

Imagine you opened up your phone right now and went to X. As you are scrolling, there is only so much real estate that can be shown to you. You may scroll for 10 min and see 150 posts. But that’s 150 out of MILLIONS.

X has to sift through that many posts to show you 150 relevant ones. Isn’t that crazy?

How they choose and the specific algos, we’ll never know the full story. But this should really make you realize how hard it is for your stuff to stand out.

So what do you do then? How do you grow your account? Unfortunately you basically have to leave it up to the Gods (and the X algo).

All you can do is create the best content you can and try to learn as much (and apply) from those posts that have done well.

I know that’s not the sexiest answer in the world, but truth isn’t always pretty. Many posts have gone viral for unknown reasons. Literally 2 people can write an identical post, one will go viral and one will get 3 views.

That’s just how it goes.

So the key here is persistence and consistency. Keep posting, and one day the almighty algo will smile upon you.
