🥕 I'm f*****g stupid!

Happy Thursday!

We are almost done with the week.

I’m f*****g stupid!

Now if you’re like me and quite infact a lot like the general population, you’ll often do one thing when you’re alone….

(No it’s not that you dirty dog)

I’m talking about…

Talking to yourself.

I know that you talk to yourself.

But sometimes, is it really the right thing?

Well, it really depends on how you talk to yourself.

And this is something which I’ve seen a lot of in the past few weeks BUT in the wrong way.

So many of us talk to ourselves like we honestly hate ourselves.

If we do something wrong or make a mistake, it’s always…

“You’re stupid”

“You’re such an idiot”

“Why do you even bother"?”

This damages your success rate dramatically.

Here’s why…

Can you imagine (if you have kids) trapping your child in a room with another…

And the other child constantly laughing, pointing and saying to your child…

“You’re stupid”

Eventually if this goes on long enough, your child will start to believe that they are stupid and therefore act in accordance with that belief.

How damaging is that?

So why do we do it to ourselves?

When you feel you’re about to be mean to yourself, just catch yourself.

If you do something wrong or make a mistake, instead of saying “You’re such an idiot”

Replace it with “Hey, it’s ok that you made a mistake there, we all do it, just be sure to correct it going forwards”

It’s a simple change, but will determine a totally different outcome.

The world is hard enough, there’s no need to make it harder by being mean to yourself.
