Welcome to the Thursday edition of the newsletter.

I got something that should get you to think…

🥕 Get An F For Trying… 👎️

KPIs.

If you’re not familiar with the term, it stands for Key Performance Indicators.

Lot’s of business owners use it for different things. But they are meant to measure, you guessed it… business performance.

Things like return on ad spend, customer lifetime value, employee performance and so on. There are dozens of KPIs you can track in your business.

But what about your LIFE in general? We always are quick to judge our business success or lack there of. But how often do we do an audit of our life?

What things can you track on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis?

You see, just like in business, those indicators can show you where you need to pay more attention and improve. We are quick to make those changes in our business, but not so quick in life.

If you had a marketing channel that was bleeding you money with no ROI, you’d probably cut it, right? Who wants to lose money for no reason?

What about your health and fitness? Are your food choices making you gain weight and zap your energy levels? If you had a KPI set up to track this, you’d probably cut it, just like you would a bad marketing channel.

Here are things you can track that have a direct relation to you health, wealth, relationships and happiness levels:

  • Amount of hours you sleep each night

  • Using your phone an hour before bed vs not (better sleep?)

  • Daily calorie intake

  • Amount of exercise you get per week

  • What your weight scale says weekly

  • How much time are you spending with your loved ones?

  • How many good deeds you did this week without expecting anything in return?

  • How many new connections you made this week?

  • How much money are you able to put away each week?

  • How many solid hours did you work on business?

  • Daily meditation vs no meditation (difference in how you feel)

All of these (and there are lots more) can be used as KPIs to improve a part of your life.

If you want to take it seriously, having a scorecard that you fill out daily, weekly or monthly would be a great way to track your KPIs.
