So you may have heard what’s happened to the world famous Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo this week… if not, you’re living under a rock.

Well if you’re not familiar with what happened, let me fill you in.

Cristiano Ronaldo launched his new YouTube channel and within 90 minutes got over 1.7 million subscribers!

How crazy is that!

Now what business lesson can you pull from this?

Well the principle here is that Ronaldo has a large following.

If you look at anyone who’s done anything big in the space, they all have one thing in common.

They have a following.

They have eyeballs, connections, high level relationships and attention to name a few more items in addition.

If you’re selling a service or product online, then growing your audience has to be one of the biggest priorities.

If you have even 1000 loyal, raving fans who love and shout about you from the rooftops, you can sell anything.

You don’t need to have millions and millions of followers to make good money online, you just need a loyal fan base who feels obligated to give back to you.
