🥕 It's my birthday... 🥳

Did you wish me happy birthday today? No, you didn’t… Shame on you.

🥕 It’s My Birthday… 🥳

Your birthday is only once a year. Some people get to celebrate 80 of them, some 30 and some only a handful. That’s just how life it. You don’t know how many you’ll get.

But no matter how many you get, it’s always a good time to reflect on where you are in life and if you are living up to YOUR expectation.

I capitalized YOUR because really your opinion on this is all that matters. Everyone always wants to put you in a box, of what you need to be and where you need to be at a certain age.

The truth of it, times are always changing. What was expected of you by your parents at a certain age, won’t be expected by you of your children.

That doesn’t mean that if you are not living the life you wanted at your age, you should just be ok with it and go back to bed. You should absolutely set goals and live your best life.

I’m just saying don’t let it be dependent on what someone else thinks. You should only really be asking yourself this question.

So ask! At whatever age you are now, are you overachieving or underachieving in correlation to where you thought you’d be by now?

At the same time though, are you overall happy? Or are there things in your life that you just know you need to improve?

Your true answer lies somewhere in between all that. Most of us are underachieving where we thought we’d be at by now. That’s just the nature of life. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make most of what you have now and be more happy.

After all, like I said, it’s for you to decide to panic or not… Not your parents, friends or associates.

If you do need to improve on something… Like your health or finances… What can you promise to yourself for the next 12 months until your next birthday?

12 months is a looong time. If you have the roadmap of what you want to be by your next birthday, you can just slowly crawl towards that daily.

Then by your next birthday, you’ll be really proud that for this past year you kept a promise to yourself and carried it out.

It’s always the ying and yang, the push and the pull. Be hard on yourself when you need to and take it easy when you know you are trying.

I’m cheering for ya.
