Welcome to the Tuesday edition of Wise Carrot.

We only have one goal hereā€¦

For you to be wiser after reading this newsletter.

Letā€™s get into it.

The #1 Entrepreneur Killerā€¦ ā˜ ļø

This is the one killer you wonā€™t hear about on the news.

Picture thisā€¦

You are out hiking, in the woods, or on a mountain, away from society.

You grab your backpack, water, snacks and are about to head on your way.

In front of you, there is a trail that was stomped out over the years by other fellow hikers.

You can either take this way, or you can be ā€œdifferentā€ and go in the opposite direction, where there is no trail.

If you go on the unpaved trail, you are likely to meet harsh obstacles and you may get lost. Going down a paved trail would be a more enjoyable experience and you would get to your destination quicker.

The entrepreneurial trail is no different. There are those ahead of you who have paved the way. All you have to do is step into the trail and follow it.

The #1 entrepreneur killer is TRYING TO DO IT ALL BY YOURSELF.

In fact, itā€™s the one thing when I look back on my journey that I wish I would have changed.

Most people actually overthink this. They believe that they need to find a big successful mentor who sells courses and other garbage.

But I will tell you that the best mentors you could ever find are the ones who are about 4-5 steps ahead of you and are willing to pull you up to their level (without selling a course or a mentorship program).

Wherever you are in your journey, either starting out or been at it for a few yearsā€¦ There is someone within reach who is a good 4-5 steps ahead of you and is willing to guide you there.

Because I love leaving you with actionable steps, here they are:

  1. Find someone online who has accomplished a short term goal you are trying to accomplish. This could be growing your audience to 5,000 followers, or have the body that youā€™d love to have.. Whatever it is.

  1. Engage with their stuff online and then send them a message. A sincere message asking for just a bit of guidance because you want to grow and reach a similar level of success.

Now, please understandā€¦ Some will be very receptive to this and some wonā€™t. The ones that ignore you, they wouldnā€™t be a good mentor anyways.

But those that respond, you just never know where the conversation could lead and how much they could help you.

The best part is that lots of people who are a bit more successful than you are more than happy to share their knowledge because they understand that they were in your shoes once and would have loved to get the same help.

Make the connections and do what they say. This is the best education you can find onlineā€¦ AND ITā€™S FREE!
